This is the time of year around here when we are breaking free of the icy grip of winter and finally – FINALLY! – getting to think about cross country schooling and riding outside consistently.
Not this year. It’s a bummer. To make myself feel better, I’ve been watching some of my old helmet cam videos. One of my favorites was from my Novice move-up at Catalpa Corner (RIP). It was such a fun course, but I also find my running commentary pretty entertaining.
Also, this was the time I couldn’t get my watch to start, so forgive my language.
Happy Friday!
Ugh thank you. I needed this to get through today.

So sad that they’re not running events anymore. Really hoping we don’t lose anymore from Area IV.

I know 😦 I did hear that it’s possible someone may be taking over management of the Catalpa event, so we’ll see. Who knows though now with everything else going on in the world…

I loved this. It did me good to watch the video. It took me back to my teenage years when I was eventing. To be honest I would love to take Biasini , my FEI level dressage horse, out and do this. Probably would need smaller jumps but he would love it. My coach’s assistant was an event rider and she takes Biasini out when I am away and gallops him and jumps him over logs in the forest and she says he could have been an event horse. And I enjoyed your commentary. You were very encouraging

So fun! It really does get to my inner kid, just galloping and jumping and being a team with a good horse 🙂
