I can’t believe it’s the last day of 2017! What a year. I made a lot of resolutions, and tracking them every few months helped me a lot. Here’s the final review of my goals for this year.
RIDING
Weekly lessons;average two dressage and two jumping per month. Half complete. I did stick with weekly lessons, however we did more jumping than dressage.Complete at least one event.YEP AND WE WON.- Read the USEA rule book, in full. Ahem. Still not done. I have made a bit more progress in that I printed out a new copy of it.
Budget and save for 3+ competitions this spring/summer/fall.Done!Buy a saddle.I’m still loving my M. Toulouse. So comfy, and it’s been nice to adjust the fit as needed.

HEALTH
- Exercise 3-4 times per week (including riding lessons) for a total of 180 workouts/days with exercise in 2017. I’d call this half complete. I did great in the first half to two-thirds of the year, and then after the HT in September I kind of just let it go by the wayside.
Run a 5k in the fall. Then decide if I want to run more. Done! I ran a 5k (very, very slowly) the first weekend in December. I ran the whole thing without walking and had not trained too much beforehand. So I was really proud that I got this done.
BLOG
- Blog at least twice per week. Nope. Oh, well.

OTHER
Unsubscribe from all the spam emails I get (and cause me to waste time every day deleting them). I keep doing this now and then. I love it.- Find a good organization to volunteer with once a month. Have not done this. I would still like to.
Clean out my closet/dresser and get rid of clothes that I don’t wear, are worn out, or are no longer in style.Done!Plan my wedding and have fun doing it. Avoid stress as much as possible during the planning process. I’m going to call this one complete because wedding planning has been great this year, and I can make it a goal again for 2018.Write in my 5 Year Journal. I stopped for a bit after we traveled in the fall, but I’ve started up again and enjoy it!
Happy New Year! Only a few more hours until 2018. I have a feeling it’s going to be another great year!
I love this. I love that you set goals and look at how much you got done! wow.
Congratulations on the year, and that awesome Rosette and picture. What a great pic that is
Bring on 2018

You knocked your goals out of the park! I really like the quantification of the workout goal – I’ve never thought about how many days/year like that. It sounds so much more doable when written in that format.

I agree! And it’s an easy way to keep it up throughout the year instead of stopping before February even arrives 😂
