Photos: A Look Inside a Show Day

This weekend there was a show that three teammates were riding in. Although not showing, I went to be a cheerleader/groom/photographer/Sherpa. It was a very successful day for everyone, bringing in a pile of blue ribbons, plenty of other colors and a division high-point champion.

I had my hands on a very nice digital SLR camera with a zoom lens and I had a ton of fun taking photos all day (well…until the battery ran out). Beyond the action shots and some great candids of the riders, family and friends, I tried to take some photos that illustrate the feeling of a show day. You know – the excitement, tension, happiness, attention to detail, horse-rider relationships, and sense of accomplishment.

Without further ado, here they are.
